Privacy Policy

What we collect
- Identity: full name, mobile number, suburb, province.
- Profile: skills, availability, optional voice intro and photo.
- Verification (where applicable): ID number, ID photo, criminal background result.
- Activity: jobs posted, contacts unlocked, ratings given/received.
- Payments: amounts, references, dispute notes (we do not store full card numbers).
Why we use it
To run the marketplace, verify identities, prevent fraud, calculate trust scores, send transactional notifications, and meet legal obligations.
Who we share with
Hirers see Worker profiles (name + initial, suburb, skills). Logged-in Hirers can view a Worker's full contact details for free. We share with our payment processor for settlement when a Hirer pays a Worker through the app, and with verification partners if you progress to higher trust tiers. We do not sell personal information.
Your POPIA rights
You can ask us to: confirm what we hold about you, correct it, delete your account and associated personal data, or object to processing. Email privacy@kasikonnektza.co.za from your registered address.
Retention
Active account data is kept for the life of your account. After deletion we keep payment and dispute records for 5 years (SARS / FICA), then anonymise.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is limited to staff with a need-to-know. Suspected breaches are reported to the Information Regulator within 72 hours.
